Speculation In Sports

By Bryan Jeon

  • Just weeks after ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan confirmed she was pregnant, rumor has  it that Tom Brady, 29, is expecting a second child with current beau, Gisele Bundchen.  Can life get any better for this 3-time Super Bowl winning stud?
  • Anderson Varejao of the Cleveland Cavaliers has created such enragement from opposing  coaches for flopping on charges (he is the unofficial leader with taking more than 60 charges for the season) that league officials are considering implementing a rule for next year, where a flop would call for a technical foul. In response, Varejao said, “If they do put that rule in, I’m not going to change my game. The charge is a part of basketball; if they changed it, then they would be changing the game.” Varejao, you look like Krusty the Clown and you play like Vlade Divac, which means, quite frankly, you’re a joke. I’m all for the rule.
  • Carmelo Anthony has upset Denver Nuggets head coach, George Karl so much, Karl is  planning on benching the NBA scoring leader for failing to play smart, team basketball. The Post’s story claims Anthony is obsessed with scoring to the point of distraction and prone to moping when his jumpers clank. In addition, Anthony has not meshed well with Allen Iverson since A.I.’s arrival in Denver, which is ironic because most thought Iverson would be the problem player of the two scorers. I haven’t seen enough Nuggets basketball to confirm this observation but for the season all I can say is, for the sake of my fantasy team, please don’t bench ‘Melo.
