Stat of the Day

32 – The average number of points Washington Wizards forward Antawn Jamison scored in their opening-series sweep by the Cleveland Cavaliers. That marked the second-highest average for any player in NBA history in a series in which his team was swept in four games. The record is held by the San Antonio Spurs’ George Gervin, who averaged 32.3 ppg in the Western Conference Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers in 1982.

Jamison had 31 points off 3 threes and 4 rebounds in the Wizards’ 97-90 Game 4 loss Monday, in which Jamison needed just two more points to break the aforementioned record.
