San Francisco Giants (14-12) slugger Barry Bonds hit homerun number 743 Wednesday, a two-run shot in the fourth inning. Then in the eighth inning, he singled in the tying and go-ahead runs for a 5-3 win over the Colorado Rockies (11-17). Bonds is now just 12 shy of tying Hank Aaron’s all-time mark of 755. In the fourth inning, Bonds pulled a pitch off Jeff Francis (1-4) to right field, finishing 2 for 4 with 4 RBI. Bonds now has 1,951 career RBI and is tied with Stan Musial for fourth place all-time.

For the season, Bonds is hitting .343 with 9 homeruns, 21 RBI and 23 walks.
