Stat of the Day

15 – The number of consecutive points the Dallas Mavericks scored to end their Game 5 bout with the Golden State Warriors in a 118-112 win Tuesday night. After Baron Davis hit a lunging three-pointer that put the Warriors up 112-103 with 3:07 left, it’d be hard for me to believe you if you absolutely knew the Mavs were going to come back from this apparent dagger. But come back they did, as MVP candidate Dirk Nowitzki hit back-to-back three-pointers followed by a driving bucket from Devin Harris, who had an amazing 11 points in the fourth quarter to keep the Mavs in the game when Dirk was ghosting again.

The Warriors lead the series 3-2, and Game 6 will head back to the Bay Area Thursday at 7:30pm PST on TNT.
