6 – The number of stitches required to close Steve Nash‘s cut on his nose, after he banged heads with the San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker. Down 106-104 with 45 seconds left but with the ball, the Phoenix Suns were forced to continue without Nash, who had to sit for 36 seconds of the final minute from the incessant bleeding. The star point guard came back with 9 seconds left but by then, the damage had been done. The Spurs went on to win the game, 111-106 behind Parker’s 32 points on 14 of 22 shooting, 8 assists and 3 steals and Tim Duncan‘s 33 points, 16 rebounds and 3 blocks. Nash finished with 31 points on 11 of 18 shooting, 3 rebounds and 8 assists while Amare Stoudemire had 20 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks.
