200 – Season tickets sold by the Orlando Magic within 24 hours of the announcement that they hired Florida’s Billy Donovan. Fortunately, these “fans,” if they can be called so, will all be offered refunds because of Donovan’s decision to return back to Florida to coach the Gators.
Seriously, who in their right mind would buy a season ticket and then take the refund because the guy who they thought would coach the team leaves? I would think the reasons for buying a Magic season ticket would be if the person was an Orlando native, wanted to see a young, star center in Dwight Howard or just wanted to see an improving playoff team. But then again, I could be wrong about the entire reason of why we watch basketball. What’s next? Higher attendance in games that Dick Bavetta refs?
