Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Garnett has shot down any blockbuster trade possibilities to the Boston Celtics to play alongside friend Paul Pierce. Instead, Garnett would like to play with a closer friend in Steve Nash.
The Phoenix Suns are adamant about keeping their stud big man in Amare Stoudemire, 24, whom the T’Wolves would only trade Garnett, 31, for along with a first-round pick in the 2008 draft. The gap lies where the Suns are only willing to part with Shawn Marion and that first-round pick, which doesn’t seem enough to budge the T’Wolves’ franchise player.
Stay tuned to see if K.G. will come before the disgruntled Kobe Bryant to pack his bags and leave the only team he’s ever played for.
